A cave fort in the Sahyadri ranges, accessible from Lonavla, Karjat, and Pune, is genuinely one of the offbeat treks in Maharashtra. A cave broached in a vertical wall is home of Bhairavnath temple, which offers the astounding views of surrounding jungle and so many famous spots in Lonavala like Rajmachi, Duke's nose, etc. A trek to Dhak Bahiri Caves is a surprise on every step due to changing terrains from grasslands to plateau walk to dense forest and ending with semi-technical vertical rock patch. Steel wires, fixed ropes have been attached, and steps have been carved in the rock for the safe climb to the caves.

  • Saturday Night Leave from Pune 11.30 pm 
    Pickup -
    01st pickup : Shivaji Nagar Infront of Maharashtra Bank
    02nd pickup : Wakad Bridge
     
  • 02:00 AM We Reach the Base village (Jambhivli)
  • 05.00 AM to 06.00 AM Refreshment & Breakfast  (Washroom is available)
  • 06:00 AM Trek begins
  • 07.30 AM Will reach top of the Dhak Bahiri
  • 08:00 AM Descend (Rappelling 100 ft )
  • 08:30 AM Start Return Journey to the base village
  • 11:00 AM Lunch (inclusive of veg / non-veg)
  • 12:00 PM Depart for Home
  • 04:00 PM Reach Home with Loads of Memories

(01 - 02 hrs delay is possible depending on the speed of trekkers, traffic on the road & other unavoidable circumstances.. so keep that buffer)

  1. How many trek leaders will be available?
    There will be 1 trek leader available for a group of 8 people in each trek.
  2. How do I get in touch with trek leaders and trek groups ?
    We add participants in our Whatsapp group one day prior to the event.
  3. Can I cancel my booking?
    You can check our cancel policy for the same. Or you can join us on the next trek (please inform us before 2 days)
  4. What is prohibited in this trek?
    Smoking, Drinking and loud music is prohibited.
  5. Are changing rooms provided?
    Yes, separate (Male/Female) changing rooms are provided.
  6. What is the type of bus ?
    The bus is NON/AC Tempo Traveler with decent seating comfort.
  7. Are washrooms available on the trek?
    Washrooms are available at the base village only. No facility is available during the trek.
  8. Is this trek safe for girls?
    This trek is completely safe for girls. We have girl volunteers specially appointed for girls. And have separate changing rooms.
